6306 77th Update

This house as been keeping pace with 9105 Hyden. We are meeting tomorrow to start building cabinets.

9105 Hyden - 2 month report

2 months ago yesterday, this was a dirt lot. The guys have really worked hard on this house. We should start painting next week. Drive by and take a look to check out the cedar and metal roof.

4010 107th Slab Poured

Yesterday the slab was poured on 4010 107th. Over 80 yards of fibermesh concrete was poured for this giant. Framing will start bright and early Monday morning.

Perspective

Last week I was having a particularly aggravating day with petty problems and other events. My wife called and asked me to pick up two pizzas from Pizza Hut on the way home because we were having some friends over for supper. I walked in to Pizza Hut and sat down to wait a bit while the pizzas were still cooking. A couple minutes later a man in a motorized scooter came in the store; picked up his pizzas, paid for them, got drinks out of the cooler, and later headed towards the exit. When he started to pass by me I said, "how ya doin' sir?" in a typical Lubbock way. He stopped his scooter, looked up at me and said, "I'm having a GREAT day." The man exclaimed these five words in the most sincerest way I have ever heard them said. He genuinely meant it and I could tell he never made excuses or sulked about his way of life.

As he left the store I realized we are dealt problems and trials in life, but I quickly learned that day how to really put them into perspective.

Major progress on all houses.....

I have had great progress on all of my houses lately. It seems there has not been a day that has gone by in the last two weeks that the guys havent worked on every house.

Orchard Park- Basement complete, footings started.

Bacon Crest- HVAC and roofing started.

Regal Park- Only 50 days ago, this was a dirt lot. We are going to start trim and cabinets next week!
